CALIBRATION FACILITY

The MSIR INDIA Photometry and Radiometry Laboratory is housed within a custom-built light-tight darkroom coated with ultra-matte optical black paint (absorptivity > 99.2%). Using NIST-traceable tungsten-halogen luminous intensity standard lamps (CIE Illuminant A at 2856 K) and high-accuracy photometric detectors, we calibrate lux meters, luminance meters, and UV radiometers.

Designed for Zero Drift

Every measurement at MSIR INDIA is conducted under strictly monitored and auditable environmental controls adhering to ISO/IEC 17025:2017:

Black velvet light baffles eliminating secondary scattered reflection off optical rails
Ultra-stable 4-quadrant constant current power supply driving standard lamp (< 10 ppm ripple)
Detector spectral matching response f1’ < 3.0% adhering to CIE photopic curve
Constant ambient temperature 25.0 °C to prevent thermal sensitivity drift in photodiode heads
